Operational Problems

If you are having problems with the printer, check the problems and
solutions listed in the following table.

The printer may not be
turned on.
The printer may not be
securely plugged into the
AC adapter.
The AC outlet may not be
supplying power.
Solution
If you see a message
consisting of the letter
F
combination with a number
(such as or ) and the
F1 F2
printer beeps for about five
seconds, turn the printer off
and reconnect your AC
adapter. If this does not
cause the printer to stop
beeping, make a note of the
message number and call
your local Canon authorized
dealer.
Solution
Hold down the
POWER
printer button until the
printer beeps.
Make sure the AC adapter
is plugged securely into the
printer and into a wall outlet.
If the AC adapter is
connected to a power strip,
make sure the power strip is
connected to an outlet and
turned on.
