4.7. Microlife Averaging Mode

In Microlife Averaging Mode, three measurements are auto-
matically taken in succession and the result then automatical-
ly analyzed and displayed. Because your blood pressure con-
stantly fluctuates, a result determined in this way is more reli-
able than one produced by a single measurement.
The switch on the side of the blood pressure monitor (right
above the Time/Date button but below the AC Adapter con-
nection port [AC Adapter sold separately]) allows you to select
whether you want to take a single measurement or three con-
secutive measurements in Microlife Averaging Mode. If you
slide the switch toward the 3, the unit is in averaging mode.
The resulting measurement on the display will indicate that
the measurement is from Microlife Averaging Mode because
an icon
will appear when a measurement was taken
in this mode.
After pressing the START/STOP button the selected Microlife
Averaging Mode appears in the display as the
Single Mode: If you want a single measurement then slide
the switch toward the 1 on the side of the unit. The single
measurement will take just a single reading.
