System Programming and
Maintenance (SPM)
The SPM software package not only offers an alternative programming
method, thus freeing the system programming console for other uses, but also
provides additional functionality:
backing up system programming information
restoring system programming information
converting system programming information (part of the upgrade
procedure)
upgrading your communications system to a newer release
printing, viewing, and storing reports
programming the communications system remotely
programming in surrogate mode
SPM runs on a DOS-based PC or on a UNIX® system platform with Integrated
Solution II or Integrated Solution III (IS-II/III). It is available on a 3½-inch
diskette. The DOS version is also available on a 5¼-inch diskette. This
software can be used directly from the floppies on a DOS machine; however,
if your PC has a hard disk, you should install SPM on the hard disk.
