Configuring administrator settings
The following types of administrator accounts can be set in Symantec Mail
Security for SMTP:
Administrator: Oversees administration of Symantec Mail Security for

SMTP
Report-only administrator: Has privileges only to run reports on Symantec
■
Mail Security for SMTP
Note: The report-only administrator password must be different from that of the
administrator.

the administrative interface.

Description
The administrator password is set during installation and
can be changed through the administrative interface.
The report-only administrator password can be set only
through the administrative interface.
The administrator timeout applies to both the administrator
and the report-only administrator accounts.
You can specify the addresses to which notifications and
alerts are sent when policy violations occur.
