System behavior

Note the following behaviors for suspended pairs:
The primary system stops performing update operations to the S-VOL. It may or may not
continue accepting write I/Os to the P-VOL depending on the P-VOL fence level setting.
If an update fails, the primary system maintains exact synchronization by reporting a unit
check and de-committing the P-VOL update. This ensures that both the host system and
application program regard the write operation to the P-VOL as failed.
If the primary system accepts subsequent write I/Os for a suspended P-VOL, the system records
the updated data in the P-VOL tracks as differential data. When a suspended pair is
resynchronized, the primary system copies the out of sync P-VOL tracks to the S-VOL as
differential data.

Export pair information

Use the Export function to save pair information to a CSV file.
An example of an exported text file follows. The fields are described in the table.
(1) Port number in the local storage system
(3) LU number in the local storage system
(5) Pair status
(7) CU SSID or Path Group ID of the paired system
(9) GID of the paired volume
(1 1) LDKC, CU, and LDEV numbers of the paired system
(13) Fence level
(15) Consistency group number
(17) Synchronization of pair volumes
(19) Volume access status
A device ID ending in # (for example, 00:00:3C #) indicates the LDEV is an external volume.
For more information, see the HP StorageWorks P9000 External Storage for Open and
Mainframe Systems User Guide.
A device ID ending in X (for example, 00:00:3C X) indicates the LDEV is a Thin Provisioning
virtual volume. For more information, see the HP StorageWorks P9000 Provisioning for Open
Systems User Guide.
(2) Group number and host group name
(4) LDKC, CU, and LDEV numbers in the local storage system
(6) Serial number of the paired storage system
(8) Port number of the paired volume
(10) LU number of the paired volume
(12) Pair type
(14) Differential data setting
(16) Copy priority
(18) Quorum disk ID
(20) CLPR number and name
