NetVanta 1335 Series Hardware Installation Guide

Power over Ethernet

The NetVanta 1335 Series PoE devices provide the same basic functionality as the other NetVanta 1335 Series
products. PoE provides the ability to detect attached powered devices (PDs), and deliver 48 VDC to the PD via
existing cabling. The PoE devices are fully compliant with the IEEE 802.3af PoE standard. By default, the PoE
switches discover and provide power to IEEE-compliant PDs.
