Connecting an External SCSI Accessory

To connect an external SCSI accessory to your computer, do the
following:
1 Assign an unused SCSI address to the accessory (typically, this is
done by setting jumpers on the SCSI accessory). Refer to the manual
provided with the SCSI accessory for instructions on selecting a SCSI
address.
SCSI addresses range from 0 to 7, with SCSI address 0 used by the
first SCSI hard disk drive and SCSI address 7 reserved for the
integrated SCSI controller (default setting).
You don't need to set a SCSI address for Plug and Play SCSI devices
(SCSI devices which support the SCAM protocol).
2 Connect the SCSI accessory to your computer's external SCSI
connector with a shielded SCSI cable.
