Troubleshooting

If the SCSI Hard Disk Does Not Work
1 Check that the hard disk drive has not been locked in the computer's
Setup program.
In the
menu, select
Security
In the
Integrated IDE Controllers
Disks / CD-ROM
disk drive to be available for use.
Also, if the option
the boot sector of your SCSI hard disk drive is write-protected.

Start-Up Center
to disable or enable starting from a hard disk.
2 Check that the SCSI adapter and all the SCSI devices have unique
SCSI IDs. (To view the SCSI IDs currently assigned, you can use the
SCSI Disk Utilities - refer to "SCSI Disk Utilities" on page 12.)
3 If you have an external SCSI device, check that the external SCSI
cable is correctly terminated (refer to page 4).
Note that the internal SCSI cable of your computer is already
terminated. Ensure that you do not enable the terminator on any of
the internal SCSI devices.
4 Check that the disk power and data cables are correctly connected
(refer to the chapter in your User's Guide about installing
accessories).
5 Ensure that the SCSI adapter board is firmly and securely inserted in
its PCI slot.
6 Check that power management has been correctly configured.
