Please read and perform all the steps in this chapter before attempting to configure and operate the printer. Printer Location Physical Location The surface where the printer is installed should be smooth and flat.

Never expose the Developer Cartridge to direct sunlight.

Cleaning the Printer Before cleaning the printer, disconnect the power. Clean the outside of the printer with a slightly damp cloth (use water only). Do not use ammonia-based cleaners on or around your printer.
