Use new recommended media. Correct environmental conditions and/or
ensure tapes are allowed to adjust to new environment before using.
Check that the cleaning cartridge has not expired
If this was not successful then call for
Amber cleaning light is flashing
First check :
Check if drive has been cleaned.
Check age, condition and type of the media.
Check the environmental (humidity and temperature) conditions for the drive,
storage and transportation of the media.
Then do this :
Clean the drive.
Correct
environmental conditions
new environment before using.
If the error condition still shows, see

on" then check the cleaning cartridge has not expired.
If this was not successful then call for
Cleaning cartridge ejects in less than 20
seconds
First check :
Check if the cleaning tape has
number of uses (usually 50))
Check cleaning cartridge is physically intact (e.g. not snapped)
Then do this :
Obtain a new DDS cleaning cartridge (Part number HP92283K).
Clean the drive with the new cleaning cartridge.
If this was not successful then call for
Won't write to media - media appears
