Reverting to HAFM 8.x

Following are instructions for reverting back from HAFM 8.8 to HAFM 8.x on the HAFM appliance.
1.
Remove HAFM 8.8 using the following steps:
a. Click Start > Programs > HP StorageWorks ha-fabric manager 8.8 > Uninstall HAFM 8.8.
b. Follow the uninstall directions.
2.
Start processes from HAFM 8.x Install home by running Install_Callhome_Service.bat,
Install_Backup_Service.bat, install_service.bat, and BackupService.exe
files from the \install home\bin directory.
3.
Start the HAFM services (make sure that HAFM 8.x is running).
4.
Launch the HAFM client and log on to the HAFM appliance.

Removing the HAFM application

Follow these instructions to remove the application from your system.
1.
Click Start > Programs > HP StorageWorks ha-fabric manager 8.8 > Uninstall HAFM 8.8.
2.
The InstallShield wizard takes you through the removal process.

Removing HAFM services

1.
Start all of the processes:
a. Select Start > Programs > HP StorageWorks ha-fabric manager 8.8 > HAFM 8.8.
b. Open Windows Explorer and browse to Install_Home\bin.
c. Double-click the Install_Backup_Service.bat file.
d. Double-click the Install_CallHome_Service.bat file.
2.
Double-click the Remove_Service.bat file from the Install_Home\bin directory.
3.
Double-click the Remove_Backup_Service.bat file from the Install_Home\bin
directory.
4.
Double-click the Remove_CallHome_Service.bat file from the Install_Home\bin
directory.
5.
Repeat
step
6.
Double-click the CleanupService.bat file from the Install_Home\bin directory.

Product license and feature keys

License keys are unique strings of alphanumeric characters that verify the right to use HAFM
software and additional software modules that you can purchase.
Feature keys are unique strings of alphanumeric characters that verify the right to use an Element
Manager application for a specific switch and the additional features that you purchase for that
Element Manager.
