Removing and replacing a power supply

Complete the following steps to remove the power supply.
Note:
v Read "Installation guidelines" on page 27.
v Read Appendix B, "Safety information," on page 83.
v Read "Handling static-sensitive devices" on page 27.
1. Turn off the server, and disconnect all power cords and external cables; then,
remove the server cover (see "Removing the cover" on page 32).
2. Disconnect the cables near the power supply.
3. Loosen the captive screw that secures the power supply to the chassis.
4. Lift the power supply out of the server.
To install the power supply, reverse the previous steps.
