Removing And Replacing The Switch/Led/Usb Card - IBM 8836 - Eserver xSeries 306 Maintenance And Troubleshooting Manual

To reinstall the system board, align the system board with the chassis, and replace
the screws that you removed in step 7. Replace all components, including the
retention module and microprocessor, in the reverse order from which they were
removed.
Note: When reassembling the components in the server, be sure to route all cables
carefully so that they are not exposed to excessive pressure.

Removing and replacing the switch/LED/USB card

Complete the following steps to remove the Switch/LED/USB card.
Note:
v Read "Installation guidelines" on page 27.
v Read Appendix B, "Safety information," on page 83.
v Read "Handling static-sensitive devices" on page 27.
1. Turn off the server, and disconnect all power cords and external cables; then,
2. Disconnect the cables from the switch/LED/USB card.
3. Loosen the screws on the switch/LED/USB card, and remove the card.
To install the switch/LED/USB card, reverse the previous steps.
