Overview of the main command-line switches

To run GDisk32.exe

On the Windows taskbar, open a command window.

At the command prompt, type Program Files\Symantec \Ghost\GDisk32
followed by the required disk and switches.
To run GDisk64.exe

On the Windows taskbar, open a command window.

At the command prompt, type Program Files\Symantec \Ghost\GDisk64
followed by the required disk and switches.
To run gdisk for Linux
At the command prompt, type the appropriate path (the location to which
you extracted the Linux tools) and executable name (gdisk), followed by the
required disk and switches.
GDisk has 11 main modes of operation. The first four correspond to the menu
options on the FDisk main menu.
Some command-line switches work only with the DOS version of GDisk or only
with the Windows 32 version of GDisk.

describes the switches that set the mode in which GDisk operates.

Managing partitions using GDisk

Explanation
Creates primary DOS partitions and extended DOS
partitions.
Deletes partitions of any type, including non-DOS
partitions.
Lists information on the specified fixed disk and its
partitions.
Activates and deactivates a partition (specifying it as
the bootable partition).
Hides or unhides an existing partition.
Reinitializes the Master Boot Record.
