7 You can enter information into each of the
four fields. Use the joystick right / left and
the keyboard will appear. Enter the text.
See chapter 4.3 for instructions how to use
the keyboard.
8 In case you want to comment only a part
of the pictures in the album, select the
pictures by pressing softkey 3, "Select". See
chapter 4.2 for instructions how to select
pictures.
9 Press softkey 5, "Add" to start the
procedure. If you handle an album with
many pictures, this process might take
some time.

7.10.3 Manage Keywords

A digital camera can provide you with a lot of
pictures. Finding them back on your computer
later on can be a challenge. The GVPE allows
you to add different keywords to your files.
These keywords will be embedded in the EXIF
fields of your JPEG files. The format used is
compatible with Adobe Photoshop, Adobe
Photoshop Elements and Adobe Photoshop
Album.
Keywords can not be added to RAW files.
You can add, edit and delete keywords with the
computer or using the the GVPE.
Add keywords from the PC:
Keyword lists are stored in plain text files that
have the extension ".txt". On the PC you can
generate as many keyword files as you want. For
example you could have files called: People.txt,
Places.txt, Parties.txt, Colors.txt and so on.

Each file contains a simple list of words. They
can be selected as keywords after the files have

been copied to the GVPE.
To copy the keyword lists to the PC, follow
the steps below:
1 Connect the GVPE to the PC via the upper
USB socket (see chapter 6.2 for detailed
instructions).
2 Copy the files in the folder Device/
Keywords.
3 Disconnect the device. Afterwards the
keyword lists will be available on the
device.
To edit keywords on the GVPE, do the
following:
1 Press "Home".
2 Press softkey 1, "Photos".
3 Use the joystick up / down until the album
you want to rename is highlighted.
4 Press softkey 5, "Manage".
5 Use the joystick up / down until "Edit
keywords" is highlighted.
6 Press the joystick (enter) and you will see
the screen as depicted in fig. 7.21.

Enter categories
7 If there are already categories available,
you can choose a category by using the
joystick right / left.
8 To enter a new category, press softkey 3,
"New Cat" and the keyboard will appear.
