  • Page 5 A M P R E S E A R C H P O W E R S T E P – C H E V R O L E T / G M C 1500 MODELS ONLY! Front Idler Linkage: Thread supplied bolt (10) in about half way into the first sheetmetal tab / hole from Install U Nut (13) into position just forward of front.
  • Page 6 A M P R E S E A R C H P O W E R S T E P – C H E V R O L E T / G M C Route long end of wire harness above engine and Pull up front door sill plate covers as shown.
  • Page 7 A M P R E S E A R C H P O W E R S T E P – C H E V R O L E T / G M C Using a 7mm socket remove the 6 screws that secure Pry all panel fasteners loose.
  • Page 8 A M P R E S E A R C H P O W E R S T E P – C H E V R O L E T / G M C Route trigger wire into the door. Poke hole through Tape red wire to (grey with black wire on driver side and tan with white stripe on passenger side).
  • Page 9 A M P R E S E A R C H P O W E R S T E P – C H E V R O L E T / G M C Re-attach window seal. Ensure seal is pushed Replace plug and door latch cable.
  • Page 10 A M P R E S E A R C H P O W E R S T E P – C H E V R O L E T / G M C Use supplied red wire and feed through accordian Feed wire to front sill area.
  • Page 11 A M P R E S E A R C H P O W E R S T E P – C H E V R O L E T / G M C Remove door latch cable from door panel. Route trigger wire into the door.
  • Page 12 A M P R E S E A R C H P O W E R S T E P – C H E V R O L E T / G M C Reinstall fuse. Check that all doors activate the Power Step and the LED Lights work when doors open and close.
