To fix the AMP Research PowerStep 75132-01A so that the steps come down when the doors are opened:
1. Check for any obstruction blocking the running board. If found, remove it. 2. Open and close the door to reset normal operation. 3. Make sure the plug reassembly is correct. The lever arm of the plug must be fully rotated and locked in the open position. 4. Ensure the wire harness is properly connected to the motor and secured. 5. Check the door trigger wiring connections to the vehicle BCM as per the wiring chart.
If these steps do not resolve the issue, further inspection of the wiring and motor may be needed.
