Safety Safety Intended use The module PSS u2 P0 F/S PN2 may only be used in the PSS u2 system. The module is designed for use in: Safety-related applications with – PROFINET with PROFIsafe profile Non-safety-related applications with – PROFINET The module meets the requirements of EN IEC 61508 up to SIL CL 3.

With the Shared Device function, the data of an IO-Device can be made available to sev- eral IO-Controllers. The head module PSS u2 P0 F/S PN2 as IO-Device can assign its data to a maximum of two IO-Controllers. Please note that all FS submodules may only be as- signed to one IO controller at a time.
