Creating a List box Button

The first section to adding a list box to a keypad page is allocating a spot on the page.
1. Go to Project > Add Page... to launch the Add New Page Dialog Window. Provide all pertinent
Page Information at this time but for the purposes of this topic we are going to address only the list
box criteria.
2. Within the Page Layout area select the first Single Button line from the top by clicking on it.
3. Click Remove.
4. Repeat steps 2 and 3 for the second and third Single Button lines.
5. Click Add to launch the Add Button Dialog Window.
6. Click the radio button for List box.
7. KeypadBuilder sets the default number of lines for the list box to the maximum allowable. Leave
the number of rows at 3 and click OK.
8. Click OK on the Add New Page dialog window.
The first 3 button lines have now been allocated to a list box. Note the list box button icon in the Page
Navigation Window.

Creating a List box Navigation Button
Select the General, Single Button just below the list box button in the Page Navigation Window.
1. Go to Project > Button Item Properties... to launch the Button Properties Dialog Window.
On the Programming Tab
2. In the text field Name type a unique name for the list box navigation button. For the purpose of this
example call it Single Up.
3. Use the Description field to further explain the function of the list box button. Moves the list up by
increments of 1.
4. There is no need to set a page flip for this button. In the Addressing section, place a check next to
List box Navigation Button?
5. Within the list now available, click on single up.
6. You can set a Feedback attribute for the button if you would like the button to provide a momentary
or blink to show activity when the button is selected but it is not required for a list box navigation
button to function.
On the States Tab
7. Place a check in the box next to Copy to On State. This will pass all settings made for the Off State
to the On State.
8. In the Text field, type the text to display on the keypad, for this example Up.
9. Click the (...) within the Font section to launch the Choose Font Dialog Window. The default font is
set in the Preferences Dialog Window.
10. Click the radio button next to Center in the Justification section.
11. Click the radio button next to White on Black in the Text Color section.
12. Since all the information passed through to the On State, click OK.
13. Repeat these steps for another single button within the Page Navigation window, but select single
down on the Programming Tab. In the States Tab, provide the text Down.
