SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

• Make sure that the voltage of your mains supply corresponds to that shown on the identification
plate.
• Young children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
• The appliance must always be plugged into an earthed socket.
• Never allow the power cord to dangle over the edge of the worktop.
• Make sure the appliance or its power cord never comes into contact with a hot or wet surface.
• Always unplug your appliance before moving or cleaning it or in the event of an anomaly. Do not
tug on the power cord to unplug it.
• Avoid all contact with any parts of the appliance that may become extremely hot during use
(filter holder head, filter, steam pipe...).
• Never heat flammable liquids with the steam.
• Fill the tank only with fresh water, never with other liquids.
• Before brewing coffee, make sure the filter-holder is firmly locked in place.
• Before removing the filter holder, wait 10 seconds after the coffee has stopped brewing.
• Never fill the tank above the maximum capacity.
• For filter coffee, after you have switched your appliance off, always wait for it to cool down for
about 5 minutes before opening the lid.
• If your appliance has broken down, if your appliance has fallen, or if the supply cord is damaged,
it must be repaired by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified persons in order
to avoid a hazard.
• Do not use your appliance outdoors.
• This appliance has been designed for domestic use only.
• Do not submerge the appliance in any liquids.
• This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical,
sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge unless they have been given
initial supervision or instruction concerning the use of the appliance by a person responsible for
their safety.

should be taken to a collection point for the recycling of electrical and electronic equipment.
