Operation

Synco™ 700 units may only be operated by staff instructed by Siemens
Switzerland Ltd or its delegates and who understand the potential risks.
2.1

Operation without operator unit

The following operating elements on the RMS705B and extension module can be
used with the operator unit:
Switching and monitoring unit

LED "RUN" device operating status display; with the following meanings:
LED lit:
Power on, no fault and periphery.
LED off:
No power or fault in the application / or periphery.

Button " " with LED (red) to display fault status message and its
acknowledgement:
LED flashes:
Fault status message ready to be acknowledged.
LED lit:
Fault status message pending, but not yet reset.
LED off:
No fault status message.
Press button:
Acknowledge fault or reset.

Programming button (Prog) to assign the device address in KNX system mode
(tool required).

Programming LED (Prog) to display programming process, with
meaning:
LED remains lit until addressing is completed.

LED (Run) to monitor power supply and addressing; with the following
meaning:
LED lit:
Power on, addressing successful.
LED flashes:
Supply voltage available, but RMS705B has no valid
KNX address.
LED off:
No power.
