2120 VGS Artist
Rhythm tones, Saturated Tube- Heavily saturated tube amplifier voicing
Distortion Gain
Controls the amount of gain being used in the selected distortion type. This parameter value ranges from 0 to
100.

Solid State Distortions

Not only does the 2120 VGS provide you with great Tube preamp tones, but you also have the option of running the Solid State preamp
section of the unit. In addition, you also have the ability to run both distortion paths at the same time. The Solid State distortions available in
the 2120 VGS offer variety and yet still compliment the Tube distortions.
Solid State Distortion Parameters:
On/Off/Bypass
Turns On or bypasses the Solid State distortion module.
Distortion Type
This parameter allows you to select which Solid State distortion type is being used. The Solid State Distortion
Types are: Grunge- Industrial music industry standard, Fuzz- Fuzz-face type distortion, Overdrive - Classic
distortion screamer, and Heavy Sustain- Heavily saturated soloing tones.
Distortion Gain
Controls the amount gain being used in the in the selected distortion type. This value ranges from 0 to 100.
Tube and Solid State Distortion Path 10-band GEQs
Included in every program of the 2120 VGS Tube and Solid State distortion paths, is a 10-band graphic EQ with 12 dB boost or cut in 1 dB
increments. Note: This EQ is separate from the Global/Local EQ and EQ effect modules used in Program mode.

Noise Reduction

The Silencer II noise reduction system is definitely going to become your best friend in any recording session or live performance for keeping
signals quiet. Along with being quiet, the Noise reduction can be placed in several different spots within the signal path of the 2120 VGS. This
feature is great to use when extra noise reduction is needed in different areas.
Noise Reduction Parameters:
Type
Selects the type and placement of the noise reduction to be used. Types include: 1. Silencer 1 pre T&D, 2.
Silencer II post T&D, 3. Silencer II post Tube, 4. Silencer II post Solid State distortion.
Threshold
Set the minimum input level at which the compressor will engage. Ranges from -90 to 0.
Attenuation
Adjusts how far the signal is lowered when the gate is closed. Ranges from 1 to 5.
Attack
Controls how quickly the gate opens after the signal level reaches Thresh. Range: 1 to 10.
