    initial entry NOTE: To avoid damage to flooring or furniture, we recommend laying a protective barrier down before assembling your safe. Locate your backup key and the single spoke inside the plastic bag on the outside of the safe. Install the single spoke by inserting into one of the threaded openings and twist clockwise until the...
  • Page 11 Insert the backup key into the entry on the door of the safe and turn it clockwise. NOTE: The shorter part of the *Shorter part of key should be inserted upright. the key is upright Turn the handle clockwise to unlock and open the safe door.

    lock face installation Remove lock face from box located inside of safe. Note: Keep door open during installation with keys in hand. The lock face requires 1 x 9V alkaline battery. Locate the battery compartment on the Back of back of the lock face Lock Face and insert the battery.
  • Page 13 Back of Lock Face Plug cable into the back of the lock face. The cable connector will only fit one 9V BATTERY way into the connector. Align the lock face to the backer plate slightly rotated to the left. Turn clockwise until the lock face clicks into place.

    security code setup IMPORTANT: Your safe comes programmed with a factory code of [ 1 5 9 # ]. For maximum security, you must re-program your safe with a new security code. When choosing your new security code, make sure you can operate the unit quickly without making an error.
  • Page 15 You will hear 2 beeps and the keypad will illuminate indicating that you are in programming mode. Enter your new 3 to 8-digit security code followed by the [ * ] symbol. The lock face will beep twice. Continue setup on next page. INACTIVITY TIMEOUT: If the incorrect security code is entered 3 times you will have an automatic lockout for 30 seconds before you can enter your code again.

If code is accepted, the green LED will flash 2 times and touchpad will beep 2 times. If code is not accepted, the yellow LED will flash 3 times and touchpad will beep 3 times.

    securing your safe WARNING: Your safe is designed to support itself when the door is opened. However, caution should be used to avoid tipping. While securing your safe, be sure to have a second person hold and stabilize the safe to keep it from tipping, causing injury, and/or damaging the safe and surrounding structures.

We recommend using a moisture/protective barrier to prevent damage. Use the hardware provided or consult your hardware retailer for fastening hardware for your particular mounting surface.
