Configuring the Software

CAUTION: Do not add optional hardware or third-party devices to
the computer until the operating system is successfully configured.
Doing so may cause errors and prevent the operating system from
configuring properly.

Configuring the Operating System

This computer supports three operating systems:

Windows® XP Professional
■
Windows XP Embedded
■
Windows Embedded for Point of Service
The operating system in the primary language is factory-installed.
Configuring the operating system generally takes about 5 to 10
minutes. If a language other than the primary (default) language
is selected during configuration, the operating system will be
installed in that language and configuration will take longer.
Carefully read and follow the instructions on the screen to
complete the installation. It is recommended that you accept all
automatic updates, if any are presented. When configuration is
complete, the computer will reboot.
