Product DULCODOS compact DSKb Portuguese * other languages on request 1.4 Basic Dulcodos DSKb The basic version components constitute the minimum design of this metering station, providing the basis for a process-reliable metering system. This equipment may be insufficient, depending on the application and feed chemical, and the following individual options may need to be added.
Product Fig. 2: Basic version of the DSKb Skid Pump Pipework 1.4.1 DSKb mounting frame with base frame The metering system comprises a polypropylene (PP option) or stainless steel (VA option) mounting frame with built-in collection pan. Escaping chemicals can be collected in this collection pan. Slots on the left and right of the mounting frame are provided for the optional routing of hoses and/or pipes to set up multiple metering stations in a row.
Page 13
Product Fig. 3: DSKb mounting frame, base frame The mounting frame is designed for wall mounting. Alternatively, the mounting frame can be delivered connected to a stainless steel base frame. Note the instructions for assembly and installation in Ä Chapter 4 ‘Assembly and installation’ on page 33 and Fig.
Product 1.4.2 Feed chemical resistance These pre-defined selections describe the material combinations of the wetted pipework components. The pipework can consist of PVC-U adhesive connections or welded PP/PVDF. Welded plastic connections can be used in applications with higher pressure, such as max. 10 bar with PP-H at 20°C or max. 16 bar with PVDF at 20°C.
Product Fig. 5: Metering pumps The wetted materials for these metering pumps are PVDF in the dosing head and PTFE in the seal and diaphragm. These pumps are equipped as standard with a multi-layer safety diaphragm with optical rupture display. The basic types have a motor with PTC and 1:5 speed control range, and can be controlled by a three-phase 230/400 V power supply (50 Hz).
Product Fig. 6: DSKb siphon vessel Depending on the delivery volume of the metering pump, siphon vessels and the following vacuum cylinders holding 0.5 litres with a nominal width of DN10, up to 2.5 litres with a nominal width of DN32, are available.
Product 1.5.2.2 Pipe with hose sleeve Pipework is routed to the front of the metering system. A hose sleeve is available as the connector. 1.5.2.3 Shut-off valve: Pipe with 2-way ball valve and hose sleeve Pipework with a 2-way ball valve as a shut-off valve is routed to the front of the metering system.
1.5.4 Pulsation damper 1.5.4.1 None No pulsation damper is fitted. The T-piece ends at this point with a dummy piece. ProMinent always recommends the use of a pulsa‐ tion damper to maintain the service life of the system and process accuracy. 1.5.4.2...
Product A bladder damper with separator is installed on the pressure side downstream of the metering pump for low-pulsation metering. Pul‐ sation dampers are used to reduce the flow resistance with long dosing lines and with viscous media. The gas cushion between the housing and hose is compressed when the metering pump per‐...
Product 1.5.6 Overflow return line 1.5.6.1 None The relief line ends without pipework directly downstream of the relief valve with a hose sleeve. 1.5.6.2 With hose sleeve Pipework is routed from the relief valve to the front of the metering system.
Page 21
Product 1.5.6.4 Overflow vessel with acid vapour separator Overflow vessels are used to trigger an alarm and shut off the metering pump when the relief valve is triggered, caused by a blockage or impermissible overpressure in the dosing line. The overflowing medium is collected in the overflow vessel and detected by a level switch.
Product 1.5.7 Hydraulic connectors on the pressure side 1.5.7.1 None No connector and transition to the point of injection. The pressure side ends at the ball valve or below the pressure side flushing func‐ tion, depending on the configuration. 1.5.7.2 Sleeve The hose sleeve is attached as a detachable hose connection with a union nut and is available in the pre-selected materials (PVC, PP...
Product 1.5.8 Electrical connection 1.5.8.1 None The metering station does not have a terminal box or main switch when delivered. All the components incorporated in the metering station need to be supplied by third parties with the requisite oper‐ ating voltage and any switching signals need to be set up accord‐ ingly.
Product Fig. 16: DSKb electrical connection terminal box with yellow/red main switch 1.5.8.4 Grey/black main switch The grey/black main switch is a grey or black load-break switch and switches off the energy supply to the metering station. Accord‐ ingly, the metering station must be integrated into a stand-alone emergency stop circuit.
Product 1.5.9.2 Leak sensor (German Federal Water Act WHG approval) The fibre optic sensor is capable of detecting small amounts of liquid media. The wetted parts are made of PFA/PVC. The collec‐ tion pan features the preparation for a mounting socket into which the sensor is inserted.
Safety and responsibility Safety and responsibility 2.1 User qualification WARNING! Danger of injury with inadequately qualified per‐ sonnel The operator of the system / equipment is respon‐ sible for ensuring that the qualifications are ful‐ filled. If inadequately qualified personnel work on the unit or loiter in the hazard zone of the unit, this could result in dangers that could cause serious injuries and material damage.
Safety and responsibility 2.2 Labelling of Warning Information Introduction These operating instructions provide information on the technical data and functions of the product. These operating instructions pro‐ vide detailed warning information and are provided as clear step- by-step instructions. The warning information and notes are categorised according to the following scheme.
