    1. Refer to the AGI Grand Island T2 Tower manual (part number 4000037). 2. Completely assemble together the T2 Tower Sections at the tower side walkway installation location. 3. Completely assemble together the T2 Tower corner landings and/or switchback landings at the tower side walkway installation location. See the following figure.

    2. ASSEMBLY TOWER SIDE WALKWAY – T2 TOWER 2.3. Splice Together Walkway Platform Assemblies Note The channel connecting bracket should already be installed to the long platform assembly. Install the channel connecting bracket center bolts. 1. Use the channel connecting bracket as a splice between platforms. Slide the short platform assembly in between the channel connecting brackets.

    TOWER SIDE WALKWAY – T2 TOWER 2. ASSEMBLY Install the channel connecting bracket upper and lower bolts. 1. Install 3/8” x 1” hex bolts, flat washers, and flange nuts at the upper and lower ends of the channel connecting brackets as shown in the following figure.

    2. ASSEMBLY TOWER SIDE WALKWAY – T2 TOWER 2.4. Install the Handrails 1. Install the handrails to the walkway platforms. 2. Install 5/16” x 3” full thread bolts through the handrail post ends and the walkway platform ends as shown in the following figure.

    TOWER SIDE WALKWAY – T2 TOWER 2. ASSEMBLY 2.5. Install the Tower Side Walkway to the Landings Use adequate and proper lifting equipment. 1. Install the tower side walkway to the landings at each tower side walkway end as shown in the following figure.

  • Page 17 TOWER SIDE WALKWAY – T2 TOWER 2. ASSEMBLY 3. After all locating pins are securely resting in position, install 3/8” X 1 1/2” grade 5 hex bolts though the connecting holes on the underside of the walkway to connect the walkway and landing. See the following figure.
