Introduction

The moveable PC holder can be part of an UltiMate 3000 system configuration. It can hold laptop or tablet (with touch screen) PCs, which can run Chromeleon or Chromeleon XPress. Chromeoleon XPress is used as a control-only setup with UV data being acquired by other data management software via the analog signal outputs of the PDA-3000 or VWD-3x00. The moveable PC holder allows convenient and comfortable access to the PC without compromising bench space.
Please note:
The moveable PC holder is mounted to the base of the PDA-3000 or the VWD-3x00. For optimum physical stability of the HPLC system in combination with the moveable PC holder, Dionex recommends using an UltiMate 3000 system configuration that includes at least two modules with the detector being the lowest module in the UltiMate 3000 stack.

Assembling the Holder to the Holder Column

Loosen the lever of the pivot arm of the tablet PC holder and align the holder column shaft with the steel plate of the pivot arm.

Move the holder column onto the pivot arm and tighten the lever.

Move the cable clamps onto the holder column.

Installing the Holder Base and Holder Assembly on the PDA-3000 or VWD-3x00

Carefully move the left front side of the detector to the edge of the bench so that the left front foot is accessible from below.

Remove the left foot from the detector bottom by removing the right and left screws of the foot with a Phillips screwdriver.

Mount the holder base with the included screws and washers to the detector base, using a Phillips screwdriver and the screws and washer shipped with the holder. Move the detector's left front side completely back onto the bench.

Please note:
While removing the left foot of the detector and mounting the holder base, make sure that the detector remains stable on the bench. As soon as the holder base is mounted, move the detector completely back onto the bench.

Finally, mount the tablet PC holder assembly to the holder base by tightening the hexagon head cap screw and the appropriate washer with the hexagon screwdriver.

Please note:
Depending on the adjusted height, the PC holder might accidentally be pushed into the sampling area of the autosampler. In order to avoid any damage to the autosampler (e.g., vial pusher and needle), Dionex recommends installing front cover (P/N 6820.1419) that is available as an option for the WPS-3000 autosamplers.
