Run and Validate Secure Path Manager
On All Nodes
The Secure Path Manager screens provide information about the shared
storage resources in the cluster, including MA8000/EMA12000 Storage
Subsystem storagesets, array controller path configurations, drive lettering,
and volume labels.
To run and validate Secure Path Manager, perform these steps from each node:
1. Use the Secure Path Manager screens to verify that every storageset is
visible and that all logical disks and HSG80 Array Controllers are
correctly and consistently defined across all nodes. Also confirm that the
attributes associated with the shared disks are consistent across all
nodes. Refer to the documentation provided with the Secure Path
software for detailed information about Secure Path Manager screens.
2. Verify that the version number for Secure Path Manager is correct.
Refer to the Compaq Parallel Database Cluster Model PDC/O5000
Certification Matrix for Windows 2000 for version information.
3. Verify that Secure Path Manager has been properly installed on the
node. Refer to "Installing Secure Path Software for Windows 2000 for
the MA8000/EMA12000 Storage Subsystem" in Chapter 5, "Installation
and Configuration," for installation instructions.
4. Repeat steps 1 through 3 for all nodes in the cluster.

Run Disk Management On All Nodes

Perform these steps from each node:
1. From Disk Management, verify that the shared storage disks from each
MA8000/EMA12000 Storage Subsystem are visible.
2. Verify that all shared drive information (drive letters, volume labels,
number of partitions, partition sizes, etc.) is consistent across all nodes.
3. Repeat steps 1 and 2 for all nodes in the cluster.
