  • Page 19 1.8.1.1 ATX/AT Mode Selector (PSON1) The ASMB-588 is equipped with a jumper that can support ATX or AT modes. This jumper is set with pin 2-3 closed as the default. To change to AT mode, set PSON to 1-2 closed.

    1.8.1.9 Watchdog Timer Output (JWDT1) The ASMB-588 is equipped with a watchdog timer that will reset the CPU. This fea- ture means that the ASMB-588 motherboard can recover from a software failure or EMI problem. The JWDT1 jumper settings control the actions taken in the event that the watchdog timer is tripped.

    USB Ports (LAN1_USB3C1, LAN2_USB3C2, USB2A1, USB3H1, USB2H1, USB2H2) The ASMB-588 provides up to 11 x USB ports. USB3H1~2 and USB2A1 are USB 2.0 ports that support data transmission rates of up to 480 Mbps, USB3C1~2 are USB 3.2 Gen2 ports with transmission rates of up to 10 Gbps, and USB3H1 are USB 3.2 Gen1 ports with transmission rates of up to 5 Gbps.

    USB Power Switch (JUSB_1, JUSB_2) The ASMB-588 allows users to switch the USB power between +5 V and +5 V. When the jumper is set as +5 V, the board does not support S3/S4. Refer to Section 1.8.1.7 “USB Power Switch” for information regarding the jumper settings.
