NOTE: Periodically inspect the entire product for damaged, missing or loose parts, such

Avoid using solvents to clean plastic parts. Most plastics are susceptible to damage
from various types of commercial solvents and can be damaged by their use. Use clean
clothes to remove dirt, dust, oil, grease, etc.
Never allow brake fluids, petrol, petroleum-based products, penetrating oils, etc. to
come into contact with plastic parts. Chemicals can damage, weaken or destroy the
plastic, which can result in serious personal injury.

TORAGE
• Always put the scabbard on the blade before storing or transporting the
hedge trimmer. Take care to avoid the sharp teeth of the blade.
• Clean the hedge trimmer thoroughly before storing it. Store the hedge
trimmer indoors in a dry place inaccessible to children. Keep it away
from corrosive agents such as garden chemicals and de-icing salts.

UBRICATING THE BLADE
WARNING: Before lubricating, always allow the hedge trimmer blades to stop
and remove the battery. Failure to do so could result in accidental starting,
causing possible serious injury.
To facilitate operation and extend the life of the blade, lubricate the hedge trimmer
blade before and after each use.
• Remove the battery from the hedge trimmer.
• Place the hedge trimmer on a flat surface. Apply a little machine oil
along the edge of the top blade.
NOTE: If you use the hedge trimmer for a long period of time, it is advisable to
periodically lubricate the blade.
• Stop the hedge trimmer.
• Remove the battery.
• Lubricate the hedge trimmer as described above.
• Reinstall the battery pack and resume use.

LEANING THE HEDGE TRIMMER
• Remove the battery.
• Slide the sheath over the blade.
• Wipe dirt and debris from the body of the hedge trimmer with a damp
cloth and detergent.
