• Hold the power tool only by the insulated surfaces of the handles, as the
cutting blade can come into contact with hidden electrical cables. The contact
of the cutting blades with a live wire can put the exposed metal parts of the
power tool under voltage and cause an electric shock to the operator.
• Clean the area to be cut before each use. Remove any objects, such as cables,
lights, wires or loose cords, that could get caught in the cutting blade and
create a risk of serious personal injury.
• Before starting the hedge trimmer, make sure that the blade is not in contact
with any object.
• Stop the equipment, remove the battery and make sure the blade has stopped
before putting the tool down.
• Never cut any material with a diameter greater than 1.90cm.
• Always stop the engine when cutting is not effective or when moving from one
place to another.
• If the hedge trimmer is equipped with a debris remover, do not use it as a
gripping surface.
• Store the hedge trimmer in a dry, locked place or high up to prevent
unauthorised use or damage. Keep the equipment out of the reach of children
or untrained persons.
• Put the blade guard on whenever the tool is not in use.
• Never wet or splash the tool with water or any other liquid. Keep the handles
dry, clean and free of debris. Clean after each use; see storage instructions.
• Secure the unit during transport.
• Never use water or any liquids to clean or rinse your product and do not expose
it to rain or damp conditions. Store the equipment in a dry place indoors.
Corrosive liquids, water and chemicals can enter the product's electronic
components and/or battery compartment and damage them, which can cause
a short circuit, increase the risk of fire and cause serious injury. Remove any
build-up of dirt and debris by occasionally wiping the product with a dry cloth.
• When transporting or storing the hedge trimmer, always put on the blade
protection scabbard.
