GENERAL SAFETY RULES
Safety is a combination of common sense, staying alert and knowing how your hedge
trimmer works.
KEEP THESE SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS.
WARNING: Do not use this equipment before reading this instruction manual
for safety, operating and maintenance instructions. Not following the
instructions listed below may result in electric shock, fire and/or serious
personal injury.
• Keep the work area clean and well lit. Cluttered or dark areas are prone to
accidents.
• Do not use power tools in explosive atmospheres, such as in the presence of
flammable liquids, gases or dust. Power tools produce sparks that can ignite dust
or fumes.
• Keep children and other people away. All visitors and pets must be kept at a safe
distance from the work area.
• Do not expose power tools to rain or damp conditions. Water entering a power
tool increases the risk of electric shock.
• Do not touch the battery, do not connect it to the mains and do not handle the
tool with wet hands.
• Never allow children to use the equipment. Never allow adults to operate the
equipment without proper instructions.
• Always wear safety glasses with side shields. Everyday glasses only have impact-
resistant lenses. They are NOT safety glasses. Following this rule will reduce the
risk of eye injuries. If there is a lot of dust, wear a face mask.
• Secure long hair above shoulder level to prevent it from getting caught in moving
parts.
• Do not use the hedge trimmer in poor lighting conditions.
• Keep all parts of your body away from any moving parts.
• Keep hair, loose clothing, fingers and all body parts away from openings and
moving parts.
