Every two months of storage, charge the battery normally.
Charger (Not Included) safety rules:
• Charge the battery in a dry place protected from the weather. Do not expose
the hedge trimmer or charger to rain. Do not charge the battery in a damp
place. To reduce the risk of electric shock, only use the charger supplied by the
manufacturer to charge the battery.
• DO NOT USE THE CHARGING CABLE INCORRECTLY. Never carry the charger by
its cable. Do not unplug the charger by pulling on the charger cable.
• Do not use a damaged charger. Replace the charger cables or the charger
immediately.
• Keep the hedge trimmer and charger away from water, heat sources (radiators,
heaters, cookers, etc.), flames and chemicals.
• Make sure the battery is fixed in the charger before starting operation.
• The battery gets slightly warm to the touch when charging. This is normal and
does not indicate a problem.
• Do not place the charger and battery in areas of extreme heat or cold. They
work best at normal room temperature.
• When the batteries are fully charged, disconnect the charger from the power
supply and remove the battery.
WARNING: When transporting or servicing the equipment, always remove the
battery.

ERVICE
• The tool must only be serviced by qualified personnel. Servicing or
maintenance carried out by unqualified personnel may result in a risk of injury.

instructions in the Maintenance section of this manual. The use of
unauthorised parts or failure to follow the Maintenance Instructions may

SPECIFIC SAFETY RULES
• Use both hands when operating the hedge trimmer. Using only one hand can
lead to loss of control and serious injury.
• Keep all body parts away from the cutting blade. Do not remove the cut
material or hold the material to be cut when the blades are moving. Make sure
the switch is off when removing jammed material. The blades remain
stationary once switched off. A moment's inattention while operating the
hedge trimmer can result in serious injury.
• Use only with the handle and guard correctly fitted to the hedge trimmer.
Using the hedge trimmer without the correct guard or handle can result in
serious injury.
• Carry the hedge trimmer by the handle with the cutting blade stopped.
Handling the hedge trimmer correctly reduces the possibility of personal injury
from the cutting blades.
