3. Check if the IPX/SPX-compatible protocol is available in the upper list.
If not, add it as follows:
3a. Click on Add..., then double-click on Protocol.
3b. In the Select Network Protocol dialog box, select Microsoft in the
Manufacturer list, then IPX/SPX-compatible protocol.
3c. Click on OK to add the new protocol.
4. In the Network Properties dialog box, ensure that the Primary Network
Logon list box is set to Windows Logon. This setting determines who
validates your user name and password, processes login scripts, and
performs other tasks at start-up.
