The FWA-3034 is packaged inside double carton, collectively referred to as the “box” in the remainder of this document. When opening the box, you will find the FWA-3034 embedded in protective foam and the accessory box embedded to the foam. Remove the accessory box first and then pull out the top foam. Now, lift the system to place on a proper surface before taking off the plastic sleeve on the unit.
OS. The FWA-3034 supports 1x VGA port and 2x USB ports for connecting of a monitor, keyboard, and mouse. For details on the location of these connectors, please refer to Figure 2.4-1. If you plan to install the OS from an USB thumb drive, consider a USB hub.
If your PC lacks an RS232 port, consider acquiring a USB-to-RS232 cable (Figure 2.4-3). Do note that for the two RS232 ends of the cables, one should be male and the other female. The FWA-3034 also supports operation via a serial console port, suitable for situations without a connected monitor.

If you intend to use PuTTY on a PC running Windows OS. The following of this section describes how to configure PuTTY on a Windows platform for connection with the FWA-3034 serial console as a reference. Otherwise, feel free to skip these steps if you have another preferred method. Other terminal programs may be used in a similar way as well.

Slide rails installation instruction: Align the holes on the slide rails with the holes on the sides of FWA-3034. Insert screws through the holes in the slide rails and into the corresponding holes on appliance. Use a screwdriver or power drill with the appropriate bit to tighten the screws.
