Removing a DIMM
If your memory configuration requires the removal of a
module, perform the following steps:
Before opening the computer and before handling
boards or memory modules, reduce static discharge
by touching the system's metal chassis.
1.
Remove the left cover of the system unit (see "Removing
the Covers").
2.
Remove the drive cage (see "Removing the Drive
Cage").
3.
Press the plastic clips at the outer edges of the socket
away from the memory module. This ejects the DIMM
out of the socket.
