Internet Access via the Barricade
Internet Access Setup
Proxy Server Setup
To set your Macintosh up to connect to the Internet through the Barricade using
DHCP:
1. Open the TCP/IP Control Panel.
2. Select Ethernet from the Connect via pop-up menu.
3. Select Using DHCP Server from the Configure pop-up menu.
The DHCP Client ID field can be left blank.
4. Close the TCP/IP panel, saving your settings.
Note:
If using manually assigned IP addresses instead of DHCP, the only change
required is to set the Router Address field to the Barricade's IP Address.
The following Proxy Server settings are required.
Connection Type:
Proxy Address:
Port Number:
The Proxy settings for any other protocols should be left blank.
Procedure for Internet Explorer
1. Start Internet Explorer, and select Edit - Preferences from the menu.
2. Navigate to Network - Proxies and check the Web Proxy checkbox.
