Overview

Accessories Description

Cleaning brush
Bristle brush at one end, which is used to clean stubborn dirt attached to the waste water tank and pipes below; A rotating blade at the other end, which is used to clear tangled hairs from the roller brush.

Cleaning solution
Easily remove grime and sticky messes from types of surfaces like hardwood, vinyl, ceramic tile, laminate floors and more.
Add one or two capfuls of cleaning solution to full tank of clean water.

Accessory rack
Insert the accessory rack protrusion against the base recess
Used to store and dry roller brush, cleaning brush and filter

Base
Used to store the floor cleaner and to be used in conjunction with the self-cleaning function of the cleaner.

How to Assemble Your Vacuum Cleaner

Insert the end of the handle into the port of the main unit in the vertical direction until there is a click sound, which indicates that the installation is successful;

Put the machine in upright state, hold down the release button of the clean water tank with one hand, and remove the tank with the other hand;

Open the cover of the clean water tank, pour tap water into the tank, and if desired add one to two capfuls of Eureka cleaning solution.

Put on the cover of the clean water tank;

Install the clean water tank on the machine with the cover side inward until there is a click sound, which indicates that the installation is successful.

How to Operate Your Vacuum Cleaner for Cleaning


Never operate vacuum cleaner without tanks, filter, brushroll and brushroll cover in place.
Recline machine by stepping on the floor nozzle and pulling back on handle.

Turn the machine ON or OFF by pressing the ON/OFF button briefly; (There will be a 3s delay when the machine is switched off.

Machine begins in standard mode by default; press on the Mode button to switch between modes.

Dirty water detection alarm
When the dirty water reaches the MAX line and the float floats up to block the suction port, and ON/OFF button LED flashes purple. Please empty and clean the dirty water tank before resuming use.

This machine is equipped with upright detect function, when the machine is placed upright, it will stop running and enter into standby mode.
The machine will shut down automatically after 3mins if on operation during standby mode.

Using Self-Cleaning Function


Never operate vacuum cleaner without tanks, filter, brushroll and brushroll cover in place.
Do not remove the dirty water tank until after using the self-cleaning function as this will allow remaining debris under the brushroll and in the tube to be sucked into the dirty water tank.

After you are done cleaning, put the machine on the base, press and hold the self-clean button for about 3 seconds, and the machine starts self-cleaning, which will run for 60 seconds.
After self-cleaning, empty and clean out the dirty water tank. To stop the self-cleaning function in advance, press the Self-clean button or the ON/OFF button.
Using Self-Cleaning Function
Note:

  1. Place the machine on the base when self-cleaning to avoid injuries from tipping.
  2. There will be a 3 second delay when the machine stops self-cleaning.
  3. For better cleaning of the brush, the side walls of the suction port and the pipes, a large volume of water is used, and it is normal for a small amount of water to be left in the base when the self-cleaning is finished.

  1. Once cleaning is completed, remove brush roll, brush roll cover and filter, rinse them and allow to dry throughly.
  2. Wipe the base dry and place the machine on the base.
  3. Insert the charging end of the adapter into the charging port (as shown in the figure), and connect to the power supply. The ON/OFF button indicator color will change with the power level increasing during charging.
  4. It takes approximately 5 hours to fully charge the unit. The ON/OFF button blue indicator will go out.
  5. When charging, keep it close to the corner of the wall to avoid tripping and other injuries.

How to Clean Dirty Water Tank

  1. Push the button of the dirty water tank downwards with the thumb and pull it out at the same time to remove the tank;
  2. Hold the tank with one hand and pull out the upper cover of the tank with the other hand;
  3. Pour out the waste water, rinse the tank and use the tank brush to remove any remaining debris.
  4. Take out the filter from the dirty water tank and remove and rinse any debris from the float.
  5. Open the filter holder, and remove the filter
  6. Rinse the filter with clean water and allow to dry for 24 hours and then reinstall on the float.
  7. Once the dirty water tank is cleaned and dry, reinstall it back onto the machine until you hear a click, which indicates that the installation is successful.
    (It is recommended to hold the machine with the other hand to avoid tipping when installing the dirty water tank)

Note:
Empty and rinse out the clean water tank and allowed to dry before reinstalling. Do not store machine with water and or cleaning solution in the tanks.

How to clean the brushroll and cover


Never operate vacuum cleaner without tanks, filter, brushroll and brushroll cover in place.

  1. To remove the brushroll cover grasp the release button and pull up and forward.
  2. Remove brushroll by pulling up on the tab located on the left side.
  3. Rinse brushroll and brushroll cover. Use brushroll cleaning tool to help remove debris and her on the roller.
  4. Wipe the brushroll chamber thoroughly to remove any debris.
  5. Put the brush roll upright in the drying stand, let your brush roll and cover dry thoroughly for 24 hours before reassembling.

    Note: The brushroll, brushroll cover, dirty water tank, clean water tank, lids and filters are not dishwasher safe. Please follow cleaning instructions in this manual.
  6. Install brushroll by inserting the right end of the roller into the right side or the floor nozzle. Then insert by aligning the tab on the left side with the slot and pressing into place.

  7. To reinstall the brushroll cover, tilt the window back and align both tabs on the lower edges of the cover with the slots on the floor nozzle then push in and downwards until it clicks into place.

Machine Storage
Store the machine on its base in a dry, protected area. Ensure machine is not exposed to freezing temperatures or internal components could be damaged and warranty will be void.

Note:

  1. The machine must not be tilted so much that the brush is lifted off the ground, as this will cause dirty water to be sucked in by the vacuum motor and then sprayed out and back onto the ground.
  2. Do not suck up large debris to prevent brush roll and suction port from clogging as this may cause a weakening of the suction power or stop the machine from working properly.
  3. Before handling or transporting the machine, make sure that both the clean water tank and the dirty water tank are emptied of water, otherwise the machine will be damaged by water ingress.

Problem Solving

NOTICE: Thermal cut-off
This vacuum cleaner has a special thermostat that protects the vacuum in case of motor overheating. If the vacuum suddenly shuts off, proceed as follows:

  1. Push the power switch to off and unplug the vacuum.
  2. Check the vacuum for a possible source of overheating such as a full dirty water tank, blocked intake passage or clogged filter. If these conditions are found, fix them and wait at least 30 minutes before attempting to use the vacuum.
  3. After the 30 minute period, plug the vacuum back in and turn on the switch. If the vacuum still does not work, call the Eureka Customer Service HELPLINE at 1-800-282-2886.

IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS

When using an electrical appliance, basic precautions should always be followed, including the following:
READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USING THIS VACUUM CLEANER

Failure to follow the warnings and instructions may result in electric shock, fire and/or serious injury.

  • Do not use outdoors.
  • Do not handle charger, including charger plug, and charger terminals with wet hands.
  • Prevent unintentional starting. Ensure the switch is in the off-position before picking up or carrying the appliance. Carrying the appliance with your finger on the switch or energizing appliance that has the switch on invites accidents.
  • Do not touch nozzle when the vacuum cleaner is on.
  • Do not put any object into openings. Do not use with any openings blocked; keep free of dust, lint, hair and anything that may reduce air flow.
  • Do not operate the vacuum cleaner or charger if it has been damaged in any way. If vacuum cleaner is not working as it should, has been dropped, damaged, left outdoors, or dropped into water, call the Eureka Customer Service HELPLINE at 1-800-282-2886.
  • To avoid excessive heat and damage to the unit or battery, the vacuum cleaner will not operate while charging.
  • Do not allow to be used as a toy. Close attention is necessary when used by or near children.
  • Use only as described in this manual. Use only manufacturer's recommended attachments.
  • Recharge only with the charger specified by the manufacturer. A charger that is suitable for one type of battery pack may create a risk of fire when used with another battery pack."
  • Do not pull or carry the charger by cord, use cord as a handle, close a door on cord, or pull cord around sharp edges or corners. Do not run appliance over cord. Keep cord away from heated surfaces.
  • Do not use extension cords or outlets with inadequate current- carrying capacity for the charger.
  • Do not unplug by pulling on cord. To unplug, grasp the plug, not the cord.
  • DO NOT MUTILATE OR INCINERATE BATTERIES. THEY BECOME DANGEROUS AT HIGH TEMPERATURES.
  • Liquid ejected from the battery may cause irritation or burns. If the liquid gets on the skin,
    1. seek medical attention,
    2. wash quickly with soap and water, and
    3. neutralize with a mild acid such as lemon juice or vinegar. If the liquid gets into the eyes, flush them immediately with clean water for a minimum of 10 minutes.
  • When battery pack is not in use, keep it away from other metal objects, like paper clips, coins, keys, nails, screws or other small metal objects, that can make a connection from one terminal to another. Shorting the battery terminals together may cause burns or a fire.
  • This product is functioning at temperature range within 40°F - 104°F.
  • Do not use a battery pack or appliance that is damaged or modified. Damaged or modified batteries may exhibit unpredictable behavior resulting in fire, explosion or risk of injury.
  • Do not expose a battery pack or appliance to fire or excessive temperature. Exposure to fire or temperature above 266°F may cause explosion.
  • Follow all charging instructions and do not charge the battery pack or appliance outside of the temperature range specified in the instructions. Charging improperly or at temperatures outside of the specified range may damage the battery and increase the risk of fire.
  • Have servicing performed by a qualified repair person using only identical replacement parts. This will ensure that the safety of the product is maintained.
  • Do not modify or attempt to repair the appliance or the battery pack except as indicated in the instructions for use and care.
  • The terminals on both the vacuum cleaner and battery should be kept free and clean of objects. Do not insert metal objects inside the terminals.
  • This vacuum cleaner creates suction. Keep hair, loose clothing, fingers, and all parts of body away from openings and moving parts.
  • Do not pick up anything that is burning or smoking, such as cigarettes, matches, or hot ashes.
  • Do not use without filters in place.
  • Use extra care when cleaning stairs.
  • Do not use to pick up flammable or combustible liquids, such as gasoline, or use in areas where they may be present.
  • Store vacuum cleaner and charger indoors in a cool, dry area.
    To avoid electric shock and/or cleaner damage, do not expose to weather elements.
  • Keep your work area well lit. Unplug electrical appliances before vacuuming them.
  • Overcharging, short circuiting, reverse charging, mutilating or incinerating the cells and the batteries must be avoided.
  • If a cell or a battery has leaked or vented, it should be replaced immediately using protective gloves.
  • If and when necessary, these cells or batteries must be replaced with identical new ones from the same manufacturer.
    If a cell or a battery to be replaced is connected with other cells or batteries in series, it is recommended that the other cells or batteries be replaced with new ones at the same time.
  • Reverse polarity installation of the cell or the battery in the end product must be avoided.
  • Do not incinerate this appliance even if it is severely damaged. Contact local waste facility before discarding in trash.
  • Always use Eureka cleaning solution in your machine, other cleaning solutions may damage the machine and void the warranty.
  • Do not use an excessive amount of cleaning solution or it may cause internal damage to the machine.
  • Do not immerse in liquid. Use only on surfaces moistened by the cleaning process.
  • Use only on level surfaces for optimal cleaning results.
  • Do not use to pick up toxic substances (solvents, ammonia, gasoline, chlorine bleach, acidic substances, drain cleaner, etc.).
  • Do not lift, carry or shake appliance while in use.
  • When in use do not lay the machine down flat or on its side to prevent the dirty water from flowing into the motor.

Find these numbers on a label on the middle back side of the vacuum cleaner. Refer to these numbers when ordering parts and accessories or if service is needed.
