    SAFE OPERATIONS GUIDE ALWAYS ride in proper accordance with local laws and regulations. Ensure the vehicle is properly registered and the rider properly licensed. Always obey local traffic laws. ALWAYS be aware of surroundings, pedestrians, traffic, etc. Be sure to take extra care when driving in spaces shared with motor vehicles, parking lots, driveways, crosswalks etc ALWAYS take extra care when driving at night and use the headlight.

    ASSEMBLY The GIO Eagle e-scooter arrives 90% assembled and is ready in 5 simple steps. 1. Unboxing Untie or snip the wires holding the scooter in its protective frame and remove it from its packaging. Ensure to save packing material until the scooter is completely assembled to avoid discarding any small parts.

Battery Connections Each scooter ships with certain battery wires disconnected to prevent the unit from accidentally being turned on during shipping and to reduce excess battery discharge. Begin by opening the under-seat compartment as described on pg 08. Once open remove the plastic tray within to reveal the battery compartment below.
  • Page 8 ASSEMBLY continued… Battery Wires The Eagle’s 72V battery pack is made up of six 12V cells connected in series. The first and last cells in the battery pack need to be connected to the corresponding battery wire from the scooter.

    Do not remove the key while the scooter is in motion, this will result in loss of power and possible loss of control. The Eagle also features a red power button next to the throttle. This button can be used to quickly turn the unit on or off while the ignition is in the on position.

    Alarm The Eagle is equipped with an easily operated security alarm. To activate the alarm, squeeze the left brake handle while turning the scooter off. Once activated if the scooter is physically moved the alarm siren will sound.
  • Page 12 SCOOTER OPERATION continued… Kickstands The Eagle includes a pair of kickstands, a main center kickstand and a side kickstand. To use the side kickstand, push the kickstand down with a foot into the extended position and rest the scooter on the kickstand. When not needed, straighten the scooter and push the kickstand back into position.

    GIO Electric Customer Service. The Eagle comes complete with its own charger, do not use a charger not designed for this specific scooter model. Never recharge the batteries without supervision. Keep away from children while actively charging.

  • Page 15 Brakes The Eagle is equipped with front and rear hydraulic disc brakes which require little user maintenance. Insufficient brake fluid may allow air to enter the brake system, possibly causing it to become ineffective. If the brake fluid level is low, be sure to check the brake pads for wear and the brake system for leakage.

    MAINTENANCE & CARE continued… Motor & Controller The electric scooter motor is usually a permanent magnet (brushless) motor that features high output torque and efficiency. Maintenance is not normally required and should only be performed by a qualified technician. Check and ensure all motor mounting hardware is secure regularly. If any are found to be loose, tighten them to avoid motor damage when riding.
