    Do not ride the scooter if both are not fully functional. Always inspect your GIO scooter before each use to make sure it is in safe operating condition. Check for loose screws, nuts, bolts, parts, brakes, drive chain, etc.

    Scooter Operation Powering your Scooter On/Off Your Supra features a keyed ignition and remote fob. Insert the key into the ignition located on the steering column and turn it clockwise to "ON". The LCD display will activate, indicating that the scooter is on. Always turn the key to the OFF position to power down the scooter when not in use to prevent excess battery drain, theft or unauthorized use leading to accidents.
  • Page 7 The throttle includes 2 additional safety cut offs to prevent unintentional acceleration. At startup, once the LCD screen indicates “READY” the brakes must be squeezed and released once to engage throttle operation. This feature is to prevent children or anyone not trained in the scooter’s use from operating the throttle. The throttle will also not engage if the scooter currently has its main center kickstand extended.

Then with the key inserted in the ignition, push the key inwards and turn clockwise to the locked position.

    GIO Electric Customer Service. Your Supra comes complete with charger, do not use a charger not designed for your specific scooter model. It is normal for the charger to get warm or emit a faint sound while in use.
  • Page 10 Cleaning Cleaning is the number one thing you can do in order to ensure your GIO will serve you for a long time. In the long run, it will save you money and a lot of time waiting for the scooter to be repaired.
  • Page 11 The Supra is equipped with front and rear hydraulic disc brakes which require little user maintenance. Insufficient brake fluid may allow air to enter the brake system, possibly causing it to become ineffective. If the brake fluid level is low, be sure to check the brake pads for wear and the brake system for leakage.
  • Page 12 If this should occur, rinse with plenty of water and call emergency services immediately. Your Supra, its batteries and charger are specifically designed for each other, and are not interchangeable with other models of scooters. There are many chargers in the market that look similar, use of any other chargers may result in serious damage to all components.

    Recharge your batteries fully prior to putting them in storage for any period of time and then recharge them once every 4-6 weeks when they’re not in use. Recharging your scooter batteries on a monthly basis should take no longer than a few hours (until the charger light turns green).
