ASSEMBLY Each GIO Golf Enclosed Mobility Scooter arrives 95% assembled and requires the following to complete it. We strongly recommend 2 people for assembly, as certain components are large and will be more easily attached with support from a second person. Please note scooters ship with the parking brake engaged and will not operate or move until released.

Step 3 - Bumpers Bumpers attach to mounting plates located on either side of the body at the front and rear. Front mounts are visible just in front of the front wheels through the wheel well, rear mounts are either visible below the body or from above through the access provided before the bench is installed.

ASSEMBLY continued… Step 4 - Drip Guards The clear plastic drip guards are installed just above the seam where the top of the door meets the body. They are there to minimize water reaching that seam. Clean the surface with warm soapy water for best results. Carefully remove the backing on the adhesive strip and apply the guard to the vehicle ensuring to allow space for the door to open.

Remove the charging port access panel (the small rectangular panel on the back wall just at the base of the bench) and ensure that the wires on either side of the breaker are snug. Replace the panel. Ensure that the connections on each battery cell are screwed in tight.
SCOOTER OPERATION Turning the Scooter ON/OFF To turn the scooter on, insert the key into the ignition located on the console below the handlebars and turn clockwise. To turn the scooter off, turn the key counterclockwise from the on position. The scooter can also be turned on remotely with the included fob.

To slow/stop the scooter, release the throttle and squeeze brake levers. Always apply both brakes, especially when traveling at higher speeds. Please note the motor cut-out function of the scooter will automatically deactivate the motor when brakes are applied to prevent motor wear. ⚠...

SCOOTER OPERATION continued… The brake handle also features a parking brake option. Once stopped squeeze the brake lever fully and while still holding in place, press up on the small parking brake lever to rotate the catch into place. To release the parking brake simply squeeze the brake handle again to release the spring- mounted catch.

SCOOTER OPERATION continued… Charging the Scooter This scooter requires a full charge before its first use. To maintain the batteries, charge the scooter after each use and do not allow the battery to fully empty. Locate the charging port behind the plastic flap on the outside rear body below the window.

ATTENTION Please note that this model currently features a yet-to-be-utilized auxiliary connection located near the upper right corner of the windshield. As there is currently no accessory available for this connection no item is missing from the scooter, it should be the connection alone.
