Cavity Construction
Minimum Cavity Dimensions (mm):
When the fire is installed within the envelope of the building, the entire appliance must be fully enclosed in a concrete
material (concrete block and/or poured concrete) of 140mm thickness or greater. The firebox should be installed on the
platform prior to finishing the concrete surrounding the fire.
Cladding over the concrete cavity can consist of any non-combustible/heat resistant material.
Venting Requirements
The air vent(s) can be any size or shape, provided that the total combined surface area is at least 28000mm .
