NOTE
The units of measurement of
speedometer (km or mi) and coolant
temperature (°C or F°), the red line
threshold, clock functions and lap timer are

WARNING
On a new vehicle the red line threshold
i s s e t a t 6 0 0 0 r p m . I n c r e a s e t h e
threshold gradually as you become
familiar with your vehicle.
During running-in, never exceed the
r e c o m m e n d e d r p m , s e e p a g e 5 4
(RUNNING-IN).
u Operate a brake to lock at least one
wheel.
u Pull the clutch lever (7) completely and
shift the gearbox lever (8) into neutral
[green warning light " " (9) on].
u The vehicle is equipped with a cold start
feature controlled by the ECU which
operates automatically when starting the

engine from cold.
To avoid excessive current draw from
the battery, do not hold down the starter
button "
seconds.
If the engine does not start within
fifteen seconds, wait ten seconds
before operating the starter button "
again.
u Press the starter button "
