13.1.1 Configuring for Hostname Reverse

Besides enabling hostname, do the following to allow the hostname reverse
function to work.
Turn on hostname reverse in Vantage Report.

Enable the default NetBIOS setting in the host computers.

Configure any software firewalls installed on the host computers to allow NetBIOS

packets from the Vantage server.
Set the ZyXEL device to allow NetBIOS traffic between interfaces. You need to

configure both the individual interface screens (like LAN, WAN, DMZ) and the
firewall to allow NetBIOS packets from the Vantage server.
13.1.1.1 Enabling the Default NetBIOS Setting in Host Computers
The following procedure gives an example of how to enable the default NetBIOS
settings in host computers using Windows 2000, XP, Vista or 7.
For Windows XP, click Start > Control Panel.

For Windows Vista/7, click Start > Control Panel.
