    Abnormal flame pattern Each Rinnai flame fire has a distinct flame pattern. This should look the same every time you start your fire, after an initial warm up period of approximately 20 minutes. Abnormal flame performance and/or pattern can indicate a problem with your fire, such as blocked gas injectors, or shifting of burn media.
