Monitor introduction
Use the control button on the back of the monitor to adjust the image settings.

- The color definition of the power indicator is as the below table.

- Central button:
- Press this button to enter the OSD menu.
- Press this button to turn on the monitor when turned off.
- Left key:
- Exit the OSD menu or return to the previous layer.
- Right key:
- Power Off shortcut key.
- Enter the option of the next layer.
- Up key:
- Use this hotkey to Input Select.
- Move the option upwards or increase the option value.
- Down key:
- Use this hotkey to Brightness.
- Move the option downwards or decrease the option value.
- Key Lock shortcut key. Press and hold it for 5 seconds to enable/disable Keys Lock.
- To change the hotkey function, go to the Shortcut > Shortcut 2 menu.
Back view

- AC-IN port. This port connects the power cord.
- HDMI-1 port. This port is for connection with an HDMI compatible device.
- HDMI-2 port. This port is for connection with an HDMI compatible device.
- DisplayPort in. This port is for connection with a DisplayPort compatible device.
- Earphone jack. This port is only available when an HDMI/DP cable is connected.
- USB 3.2 Gen 1 upstream port. This port is for connection with a USB upstream cable. The connection enables the USB ports on the monitor.
- USB 3.2 Gen 1 downstream ports. These ports are for connection with USB devices, such as USB keyboard/mouse, USB flash drive, etc
- Kensington lock slot.
- Control buttons.
Setup
Assembling the monitor arm/base
To assemble the monitor base:

- Have the front of the monitor face down on a table.
- Attach the base into the arm, making sure the tab on the arm fi t s into the groove on the base.
- Fix the base to the arm by fastening the bundled screw.
- Remove the stop screw at the bottom of the base to allow adjustment from either left or right.

We recommend that you cover the table surface with soft cloth to prevent damage to the monitor.
NOTE:
Base screw size: M6 x 16.5 mm.
Detaching the arm/base
(for VESA wall mount)
The detachable arm/base of this monitor is specially designed for VESA wall mount.
To detach the arm/base:

- Have the front of the monitor face down on a table.(Figure 1)
- Remove the base (Figure 2).
- Use a screwdriver to remove the screw(s) on the hinge (Figure 3), then remove the hinge.

We recommend that you cover the table surface with soft cloth to prevent damage to the monitor.
NOTE:
- The VESA wall mount kit (100 x 100 mm) is purchased separately.
- Use only the UL Listed Wall Mount Bracket with minimum weight/load 22.7kg (Screw size: M4 x 12 mm)
Adjusting the monitor
- For optimal viewing, we recommend that you look at the full face of the monitor, then adjust the monitor to the angle that is most comfortable for you.
- Hold the stand to prevent the monitor from falling when you change its angle.
- The recommended adjusting angle is +25˚ to -5˚ (for tilt)/+180˚ to -180˚ (for swiveling by removing the stop screw)/ +150 mm (for height adjustment)/90˚ (for portrait view).

Pivoting the monitor

- Lift the monitor to the highest position.
- Tilt the monitor to its maximum angle.
- Pivot the monitor to the angle you need.
NOTE:
It is normal that the monitor slightly shakes while you adjust the viewing angle.
Connecting the cables
Connect the cables as the following instructions:

- To connect the power cord: Connect one end of the power cord securely to the monitor's AC input port, the other end to a power outlet.
- To connect the HDMI/DP cable:
- Plug one end of the HDMI/DP cable to the monitor's HDMI/DP jack.
- Connect the other end of the HDMI/DP cable to your computer's HDMI/ DP jack.
- To connect the audio cable: connect one end of the audio cable to the computer's audio-out port.
- To use the earphone: connect the end with plug type to the monitor's earphone jack when an HDMI/DP signal is fed.
- To use the USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports: Take an USB 3.2 Gen 1 cable, and plug the smaller end (type B) of the USB upstream cable to the monitor's USB upstream port, and the larger end (type A) to your computer's USB 3.2 Gen 1 port. Make sure your computer is installed with the lastest Windows 7/ Windows 10/Windows 11 operating system. That will enable the USB ports on the monitor to work.
NOTE:
When these cables are connected, you can choose the desired signal from the Input Select item in the OSD menu.
Turning on the monitor
Press the power button

lights up in white to show that the monitor is ON.

- sRGB Mode: This is the best choice for viewing photos and graphics from PCs.
- Scenery mode: This is the best choice for scenery photo displaying with SPLENDID™ Video Intelligence Technology.
- Theater Mode: This is the best choice for movie watching with SPLENDID™ Video Intelligence Technology.
- Game Mode: This is the best choice for game playing with SPLENDID™ Video Intelligence Technology.
- Night View Mode: This is the best choice for playing dark-scene game or watching dark-scene movie with SPLENDID™ Video Intelligence Technology.
- Reading Mode: This is the best choice for book reading with SPLENDID™ Video Intelligence Technology.
- Darkroom Mode: This is the best choice for a weak ambient light environment with SPLENDID™ Video Intelligence Technology.
OSD function introduction
- Splendid
This function contains 8 sub-functions you can select for your preference.
Each mode has the Reset selection, allowing you to maintain your setting or return to the preset mode.
- Press the MENU button to activate the OSD menu.

buttons to toggle between options in the Menu. As you move from one icon to another, the option name is highlighted. - To select the highlighted item on the menu press the

NOTE:
- In the Standard Mode, the Saturation, Skin Tone, Sharpness, and ASCR functions are not user-configurable
- In the sRGB, the Saturation, Color Temp., SkinTone, Sharpness, Brightness, Contrast, and ASCR functions are not user-configurable
- In the Reading Mode, the Saturation, SkinTone, ASCR, Contrast, and Color Temp. functions are not user-configurable
- Eye Care
In this function, you can adjust settings to better protect your eyes.
- Blue Light Filter: In this function, you can adjust the blue light filter from 0 to Max.
* 0: No change.
* Max: The higher the level, the less blue light is scattered. When blue light filter is activated, the default settings of Standard Mode will be automatically imported. Besides maximum level, the brightness is user-configurable. Maximum is the optimized setting. It is compliance with TUV low blue light certification*. The brightness function is not user configurable.
NOTE:
*When color augmentation is in default value (50).
NOTE:
Please refer to the following to alleviate eye strains:
- Users should take some time away from the display if working for long hours. It is advised to take short breaks (at least 5 mins) after around 1 hour of continuous working at the computer. Taking short and frequent breaks is more effective than a single longer break.
- To minimize eye strain and dryness in your eyes, users should rest the eye periodically by focusing on objects that are far away.
- Eye exercises can help to reduces eye strain. Repeat these exercises often. If eye strain continues please consult a physician. Eye exercises:
- Repeating look up and down
- Slowly roll your eyes
- Move your eyes diagonal.
- High energy blue light may lead to eye strain and AMD (Age-Related Macular Degeneration). Blue light filter to reduce 70% (max.) harmful blue light to avoiding CVS (Computer Vision Syndrome) when the user adjusts blue light filter bar to maximum level
- Rest Reminder: This function provides you a rest reminder according to how long you set for your working time. For example, if you set a 30-minute working time and there will be a pop up reminder appeared on the upper left corner of the monitor for 5 seconds when time is up. Press any key to make this reminder OSD disappear.
NOTE:
When this function is enabled, the following functions are not available: Splendid Demo Mode, GamePlus, QuickFit. - Color Augmentation: The adjusting range of color enhancement is from 0 to 100.
NOTE: - This function is not available when sRGB Mode is selected in the Splendid menu.
- This function is not available when Reddish or Yellowish is selected in the Skin Tone menu.
- Color
Select the image color you like from this function.
- Brightness: Adjust the brightness level. The adjusting range is from 0 to 100.
- Contrast: Adjust the contrast level. The adjusting range is from 0 to 100.
- Saturation: Adjust the saturation level. The adjusting range is from 0 to 100.
- Color Temp.: Select the desired color temperature. Available options: Cool, Normal, Warm, and User Mode.
NOTE: - In the User Mode, colors of R (Red), G (Green), and B (Blue) are user configurable the adjusting range is from 0 ~ 100.
- Skin Tone: Select the desired skin color. Available options: Reddish, Natural, and Yellowish.
- Image
You can adjust the image Sharpness, Trace Free, Aspect Control, VividPixel, ASCR, Adaptive-Sync, HDR from this main function.
- Sharpness: Adjust the picture sharpness. The adjusting range is from 0 to 100.
- Trace Free: Speed up the response time by Over Drive technology. The adjusting range is from lower 0 to faster 100.
- Aspect Control: Adjust the aspect ratio to "Full", "4:3".
NOTE: - 4:3 is only available when the input source is in 4:3 format.
- VividPixel: ASUS Exclusive Technology that brings lifelike visuals for crystal-clear and detail-oriented enjoyment. The adjusting range is from 0~100.
- ASCR: Select ON or OFF to enable or disable dynamic contrast ratio function.
- Adaptive-Sync: Select ON or OFF to enable or disable the dynamic refresh rate 60Hz.
- HDR: High Dynamic Range. Contains two HDR modes (ASUS Cinema HDR & ASUS Gaming HDR).
- Input Select
Select the input source.

- System Setup
Adjust the system configuration.
- Splendid Demo Mode: Activate the demo mode for the Splendid function.
- Volume: The adjusting range is from 0 to 100.
- QuickFit: See 3.1.2.2 QuickFit function.
- GamePlus: Activate Crosshair, Timer or FPS Counter or Display Alignment function..
- ECO Mode: Activate the ecology mode for power saving.
- USB Charging: Contains 2 modes including On During Standby and Off During Standby.
- OSD Setup: Adjust the OSD Timeout, DDC/CI, and Transparency of the OSD screen.
- More: Return the next page of System Setting.
- Language: Select the OSD language.
- Key Lock: Pressing the second button on the right for more than five seconds to activate the key lock function.
- Back: Return the previous page of System Setting.
- Information: Display the monitor information.
- Power Indicator: Turn the power LED indicator on/off.
- Power Key Lock: Disable/Enable the power key.
- Power Setting:
- Standard Mode: Normal power consumption.
- Power Saving Mode: Reduces power consumption.
- All Reset: Select YES to revert all settings to the factory default mode.
- Shortcut
Assign the specific function to the two shortcut keys.

- Shortcut 1: Assign a function to the Shortcut Key1. Available options: Blue Light Filter, Splendid, Brightness, Contrast, Input Select, Color Temp., Volume, GamePlus, QuickFit, Rest Reminder, Color Augmentation. The default setting is Input Select.
- Shortcut 2: Assign a function to the Shortcut Key2. Available options: Blue Light Filter, Splendid, Brightness, Contrast, Input Select, Color Temp., Volume, GamePlus, QuickFit, Rest Reminder, Color Augmentation. The default setting is Brightness.
QuickFit Function
The QuickFit function contains three patterns:
- Grid
- Paper size
- Photo size.
- Grid pattern: Facilitates designers and users to organize content and layout on one page and achieve a consistent look and feel.

Troubleshooting (FAQ)
Problem | Possible Solution |
Power LED is not ON | - Press the
button to check if the monitor is in the ON mode. - Check if the power cord is properly connected to the monitor and the power outlet.
- Check if the power switch is ON.

The power LED lights amber and there is no screen image | - Check if the monitor and the computer are in the ON mode.
- Make sure the signal cable is properly connected the monitor and the computer.
- Inspect the signal cable and make sure none of the pins are bent.
- Connect the computer with another available monitor to check if the computer is properly working.
|
Screen image is too light or dark | - Adjust the Contrast and Brightness settings via OSD.
|
Screen image is not centered or sized properly | - Adjust the H-Position or V-Position settings via OSD.
|
Screen image bounces or a wave pattern is present in the image | - Make sure the signal cable is properly connected to the monitor and the computer.
- Move electrical devices that may cause electrical interference.
|
Screen image has color defects (white does not look white) | - Inspect the signal cable and make sure that none of the pins are bent.
- Perform All Reset via OSD.
- Adjust the R/G/B color settings or select the Color Temperature via OSD.
|
Screen image is blurry or fuzzy | - Adjust the Phase and Clock settings via OSD.
|
- Before setting up the monitor, carefully read all the documentation that came with the package.
- To prevent fire or shock hazard, never expose the monitor to ra n or moisture.
- Never try to open the monitor cabinet. The dangerous high voltages inside the monitor may result in serious physical injury.
- If the power supply is broken, do not try to fix it by yourself Contact a qualified service technician or your retailer.
- Before using the product, make sure all cables are correctly connected and the power cables are not damaged. If you detect any damage, contact your dealer immediately.
- Slots and openings on the back or top of the cabinet are provided for ventilation. Do not block these slots. Never place this product near or over a radiator or heat source unless proper ventilation is provided.
- The monitor should be operated only from the type of power source indicated on the label. If you are not sure of the type of power supply to your home, consult your dealer or local power company.
- Use the appropriate power plug which complies with your local power standard.
- Do not overload power strips and extension cords. Overloading can result in fir or electric shock.
- Avoid dust, humidity, and temperature extremes. Do not place the monitor in any area where it may become wet. Place the monitor on a stable surface.
- Unplug the unit during a lightning storm or if it will not be used for a long period of time. This will protect the monitor from damage due to power surges.
- Never push objects or spill liquid of any kind into the slots on the monitor cabinet.
- To ensure satisfactory operation, use the monitor only with UL listed computers which have appropriate configured receptacles marked between 100-240V AC.
- If you encounter technical problems with the monitor, contact a qualified service technician or your retailer.
- Adjustment of the volume control as well as the equalizer to other settings than the center position may increase the ear-/headphones output voltage and therefore the sound pressure level.
Care & Cleaning
- Before you lift or reposition your monitor, it is better to disconnect the cables and power cord. Follow the correct lifting techniques when positioning the monitor. When lifting or carrying the monitor, grasp the edges of the monitor. Do not lift the display by the stand or the cord.
- Cleaning. Turn your monitor off and unplug the power cord. Clean the monitor surface with a lint-free, non-abrasive cloth. Stubborn stains may be removed with a cloth dampened with mild cleaner.
- Avoid using a cleaner containing alcohol or acetone. Use a cleaner intended for use with the monitor. Never spray cleaner directly on the screen, as it may drip inside the monitor and cause an electric shock.
The following symptoms are normal with the monitor
- You may find slightly uneven brightness on the screen depending on the desktop pattern you use.
- When the same image is displayed for hours, an afterimage of the previous screen may remain after switching the image. The screen will recover slowly or you can turn off the Power Switch for hours.
- When the screen becomes black or flashes, or cannot work anymore, contact your dealer or service center to fix it. Do not repair the scre n by yourself!
