Dynamic Power Management troubleshooting

Problem
PWR - Yellow LED
is not lit
PWR - Yellow LED
is blinking
EVSE – Red LED is
not lit
EVSE – Red LED is
blinking

Possible cause
Charge point is not switched on
ƒ The DPM data cable is connected
incorrectly
ƒ The DPM data cable is damaged
ƒ The charge point may be faulted
ƒ Dynamic Power Management module
is powered, but voltage is below 6 V.
ƒ The voltage drop over the DPM data
cable is too high.
ƒ The DPM data cable is too long, or
the cross-section of the DPM data
cable is too small.
ƒ Charge point is not switched on
ƒ Dynamic Power Management is not
configured in the charge point.
ƒ Dynamic Power Management is
configured, but no data has been
received from the charge point in the
last 10 seconds.
ƒ The DPM data cable is connected
incorrectly
ƒ The DPM data cable is damaged
ƒ The charge point may be faulted
ƒ Data has been received, but no valid*
modbus request has been received in
the last 10 seconds.
* CRC verified frame for own
address
Solution
Switch on the power of the charge point
Check if the DPM data cable is connected correctly as
explained in figures and . Also check if the A and B
wires are not reversed.
Check if there are damages in the DPM data cable. If
damages are found, replace or fix the DPM data
cable.

Measure the voltage on the + and - connectors of the
DPM module to confirm that the supplied voltage is
below 6 V.
Replace the DPM data cable for one with a larger
cross-section. See the cable specifications in chapter
for the cross-section calculation.
Switch on the power of the charge point
Configure Dynamic Power Management using the
rotary switches as explained in chapter
Use the Installer app to configure Dynamic Power
Management.
Check if the DPM data cable is connected correctly as
explained in figures and . Also check if the A and B
wires are not reversed.
Check if there are damages in the DPM data cable. If
damages are found, replace or fix the DPM data cable.
