2.4 Installation

Read carefully the user guide and respect constraints for:
• Ambient temperature and humidity
• Free access to power cord and for electrical severing plan
2.4.1 Unpacking
A thorough inspection is carried out on the RAL
it is recommended to check the complete as soon as it is received to report any anomalies
to the carrier. The installation procedures must be imperatively followed in the order given
below.
The instrument is enveloped in special, protective foam before being placed in a
cardboard box.
Any part of the device that should be repaired or replaced, must be conform
to and validated by your distributor/representative, as they may be source of
failure or risk to the user. Your distributor/representative would disclaim all
liability in the contrary case.

2.4.2 Installation
1. Connect the power cord to the power supply adaptator, and then connect it to RAL
SmearBox connector on the rear panel of the device.
This appliance coupler must be accessible as it is used as the Disconnecting
Device of the Equipment.
This electrical adapter must remain accessible as it servces as an "Electrical
disconnection plan". In case of a serious electrical problem with the device
(machine completely blocker, etc.), manually unplug the power cable from
the power adaptator.
2. Connect the power supply adaptor to a laboratory outlet delivering (100-240V AC-50/60Hz-
2,5A)
