Applying IGMP Filters

To control access as defined in an IGMP profile, you apply the profile to the appropriate interfaces.
IGMP profiles can be applied to Layer 2 ports only. A profile can be applied to multiple interfaces, but
each interface can only have one profile applied to it.
Beginning in privileged EXEC mode, follow these steps to apply an IGMP profile to a switch port:
Command
Step 1
configure terminal
Step 2
interface interface-id
Step 3
ip igmp filter profile number
Step 4
end
Step 5
show running configuration
interface interface-id
Step 6
copy running-config startup-config (Optional) Save your entries in the configuration file.
To remove a filter profile from an interface, use the no ip igmp filter profile number interface
configuration command.
This example shows how to apply IGMP profile 22 to an interface and verify the configuration.
Switch # config t
Switch(config)# interface fastethernet 0/12
Switch(config-if)# ip igmp filter 22
Switch(config-if)# end
Switch# show running-config interface fastethernet 0/12
