1) Set the desired frequency.
2) Select output power.
3) Push [PTT] SWITCH.
4) Release [PTT] SWITCH.
See page 19 for duplex operation instructions using NAV BAND and
COM BAND.
1) Set the desired frequency in COM BAND. (See page 7)
e Transmitting in NAV BAND is not permitted.
e COM BAND frequency range: 118.000 ~ 135.975MHz.
2) Select output power using the RF OUTPUT POWER SWITCH.
e HIGH power : Greater coverage for long distance transmissions.
e LOW power : Low output power conserving battery life.
3) Push the [PTT] SWITCH to begin transmitting. Speak into the
microphone using your normal voice level.
e "(rx)" appears on the FUNCTION DISPLAY while transmitting.
4) Release the [PTT] SWITCH to return to receiving.
